Snow White Ballet

Heigh Ho! Heigh Ho! It’s off to the Strand Theatre we go!  A spirited retelling of the classic Brothers grimm fairy tale, Snow White is performed by Oglebay Institutes Youth Ballet Company and features exciting choreography, spectacular sets and beautiful costumes.  The performance will take place at 7pm on October 23. 
The ballet version of Snow White, like the fairy tale, follows Snow White on her adventure as she meets a forest full of friends, including sevenspirited dwarfs who help her regain her rightful place against her wicked stepmother. 
“Children can cheer on the young heroine and her prince as they foil the plots of the wicked queen,” said Oglebay Institute director of dance, Cheryl Pompeo.
She added that the show brings plenty of energy, fun, suspense, and new twists to this familiar classic, keeping the atttnetion of young audiences.  “This show is a great introduction to the arts and to the joy of dance,” she said, “and it is a wonderful family activity.
